School Gardens: Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids
Through our partnership with Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids, the Christina School District brings hands-on learning about health and nutrition directly into our schools. As a part of the science curriculum, students get to plant, grow, and learn where their food comes from while gaining real-life skills and knowledge about good nutrition. Students experience “seed to table” growing each spring AND fall and EAT fresh vegetables they’ve grown in their cafeterias.
